伊德尔用他专业教育中最熟练的苏式绘画方式，重画了他成长过程中最记忆深刻的、带有鲜明时代特征的场景，伊德尔说“那些年代对记忆的要求用力过猛”，这些“强加的”的记忆是“根本卸载不掉的”，我猜想伊德尔在这“重温”的过程中一定感受多多。然后，伊德尔在这些熟悉的画面上“贴瓷砖”似的罩满了格子，在格子看似理智的框架中，是细细、层层的感性的描绘，这些半透明的白色格子，弥漫着模糊的温情和眷恋。

记得革命导师中排位老三的列宁教导我们：忘记过去就意味着背叛。出于人们本能的逆反，现在人们已经不那么在乎记忆了。由于那些年代对记忆的要求用力过猛，很多的记忆不是我主动求所得到的，是那个年代规定好的，是强加给我们的，比如“革命传统”，比如“忆苦思甜”，比如“祖国山河一片红”，甚至包括我学到的绘画技巧。生长在那个年代，我没有别的选择，几乎也没有人能躲避和拒绝这种强加，就这样我们按着那个时代和社会的规定长大。今天，当我觉得这个记忆有了问题的时候，那几十年的成长经历已经是造成了一个我根本卸载不掉的历史事实了。我想轻装前行，可在这个熙熙攘攘的世界里，总是有那么多的新鲜事物唤起我那过往的记忆，亦真亦幻。
